Joliet Juniors Donate to Help Community

Reciprocity Dinner

The Joliet Junior Woman’s Club distributed over $17,000 to help others in the Joliet area community this year.  Funds were raised at the Club’s fall fundraiser, “Cuisine in the Corn for a Cause,” which was organized by immediate Past President, Lauren McFarland.  The Joliet Juniors Philanthropy Committee, led by chairwomen Connie Head and Sara Gilbert, reviewed applications from local organizations and made recommendations based on all requests received. The donations will aid local not-for-profit organizations helping women and children in the local community. Easter Seals, the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic, and Joliet Area Hospice were top recipients along with those pictured below. Funds are distributed annually and local organizations are encouraged to apply each year.
