The Club’s Vice President, Kristen Wyss, organized this project on behalf of the club. She said, “We put every drawer together, hinged every door, and screwed about 240 screws. Joliet Junior Woman’s Club members assembled furniture, organized art supplies, and decorated a special new Art Therapy Room at Guardian Angel Community Services in Joliet. The room will be used by children receiving services through the center’s Groundwork program, which supports families who have experienced domestic violence. Guardian Angel Community Services recently moved to a new location on Ottawa Street in Joliet.
