How did you first learn about JJWC?

About 6 years ago a friend of mine was doing good for the community and I wanted to help.

What made you decide to join JJWC?

I had a daughter going off to college soon. I wanted to do something good with the community with my free time. The 1st meeting I went to all the ladies were so welcoming. I had to join!

What has been your favorite service project or event to be a part of?

Cause for Celebration 2016 was the best. We had crowds of people and all I kept thinking of is the $ that were being made so we could give back to the community.

How have you personally grown or benefitted from being in JJWC?

I’ve met a lot of people in the community. Growing up in the Plainfield/Joliet area I thought I knew everyone. I’ve met business owners and local government reps. Amazing the organizations just in our little community that I have helped.

Tell us a little about your family and what you do for a living.

Born and raised in Plainfield/Joliet area. Raised my 22 year old daughter as a single mom. Been living in Roselle for the past 2 years. My fiancee is a Firefighter/Paramedic for a Chicago Suburb Fire Department. I’m a Logistics Manager for Mahoney Environmental for the past 16 years in Joliet.

What's a fun fact that most people might not know about you?

I was one of the first girls to play in a Boys T-Ball Allstar game way back when there were just boys teams in Plainfield.
