food bank

The night of October 27th club members and several of their school aged children came together to volunteer at Northern Illinois Food Bank.
We worked in teams breaking down crates, delivering a weeks worth of food to cars in line for pick up, cleaning, and labeling Large cans of beans, and packing boxes of Starbucks foods that are generously donated every day to the food bank.
Teachers from Hoffer Elementary were there working as a team, along with other regular volunteers as well.
Collectively we packed 10,734 pounds of food providing 8945 meals for hungry neighbors.
